Ayurvedic Treatment Of Cardiac Arrest

What is Cardiac Arrest?

Cardiac arrest is a sudden, unexpected cause of death resulting abrupt loss of heart function to pump blood effectively. This occurs from an electrical disturbance in your heart that disrupts its pumping action, stopping blood flow to your body. It can come on suddenly, or in the wake of other symptoms such as breathing and consciousness. If untreated, Cardiac arrest can lead to death.

Electrical impulses controlled our heartbeat. Heartbeat becomes irregular when these impulses change pattern. This is also known as an arrhythmia. Some arrhythmias are slow, others are rapid. Cardiac arrest occurs when the rhythm of the heart stops.

Cardiac arrest is an extremely serious health issue. The Institute of Medicine reports that every year, more than half a million people experience cardiac arrest in the United States. The condition can cause death or disability.

What Are The Causes Of Cardiac Arrest?

Most cases of Cardiac Arrest are related to undetected cardiovascular disease. Abnormal heart rhythm is the main cause of Cardiac Arrest. The heart’s electrical activity becomes chaotic, and it can’t pump blood to the rest of the body.

Conditions that can trigger sudden cardiac arrest include:

  1. Coronary Artery Disease: This is the most common cause of sudden cardiac arrest in people older than 35.
  2. Cardiomyopathy: Due to this condition, your heart muscle becomes enlarged or thick, so it’s weakened.
  3. Long QT syndrome and Brugada syndrome: These disorders of the heart’s electrical system can cause abnormal heart rhythms.
  4. Marfan syndrome: This inherited disorder can cause parts of the heart to stretch and become weak.
  5. Heart Birth Defects: Even if you have had surgery to correct a defect, you are still at risk for sudden cardiac arrest.
  6. A previous cardiac arrest or heart attack
  7. A family history of cardiac arrest or heart disease

What Are The Risk Factors Of Cardiac Arrest?

There are many factors that can increase a person’s risk of sudden cardiac arrest and sudden cardiac death. These include:
