Liver cirrhosis is a late stage of the liver that is caused by several liver diseases such as hepatitis or chronic alcohol liver disease. So the early diagnosis of this disorder is must so that further damage can be managed.

The disorder has usually no signs or symptoms till liver damage occurs in excess.

The disorder is caused by the formation of scar tissue in the liver due to damage caused by the diseases. Every time when damage is caused to the liver, the liver repairs itself and the scar tissue forms. And now more and more scar tissue will form whenever damage occurs and this makes the functioning of the liver unhealthy.
SOME OTHER CAUSES OF THE LIVER CIRRHOSIS ARE THOUGHT TO BE GENETIC, WHILE SOME OCCUR LATER IN THE LIFE AND ALL OF THEM ARE LISTED BELOW:
- Cystic fibrosis.
- Accumulation of the copper in the liver and the condition is known as Wilson’s disease.
- Buildup of iron in the body which is known as hemochromatosis.
- Genetic disorder of sugar metabolism.
- Genetic digestive disorder.
- Hepatitis B, C and chronic alcohol abuse occur later in the life.
- Accumulation of fat in the liver also known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
- Destruction of the bile ducts which is known as primary Biliary cirrhosis.
- Hardening and scarring of bile ducts.
- Parasitic infection
A person may have more than one cause of his liver problem. Sometimes, your doctor may not find the cause of your liver problem and in this case, the disease is known as cryptogenic cirrhosis.
How Can Liver Cirrhosis Be Diagnosed?
Early stage of cirrhosis may not cause any symptoms, but mostly it is detected by blood test. A doctor may ask for more test for further confirmation. Tests include liver function test, kidney function test, test for hepatitis B and C and clotting also. Some other imaging tests can also be done to confirm the disorder such as MRE, MRI and liver biopsy also.

Liver Cirrhosis And Ayurveda
Ayurveda describes three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha dosha as the life forces. And their imbalance is responsible for any health problem. So, they must be in proper balance in order to stay away from the diseases.
This liver disorder is believed to occur due to the aggravation of pitta dosha of the body, according to Ayurveda. Aggravation of this dosha leads to the unhealthy functioning of the liver and then later on, causes an imbalance in other two doshas as well.
Rasa and Rakta dhatus are known to be intoxicated in this liver problem and in turn other dhatus becomes weak. All the functions of pitta gets affected. Functions include digestion of food, hunger feeling, blood production and complexion of skin as well.
